Don't think, just do.

I've had this website for over a year now but due to overthinking and trying to perfect everything, I never started.

Truthfully, there are just way too many things in my life I never even get started or leave something forgotten/unfinished due to my Type-A, perfectionist mindset. But as I'm growing, learning, and maturing I'm actually starting grasp onto the idea that life's messy and mistakes are inevitable. I'd spend countless hours deliberately planning but spend zero hours on actually making it happen because I wanted to make sure it was perfect before putting action into it.

No more of that. It's time to just get things started, learn from my mistakes, and improve as I go instead of waiting to start something until the idea or plan is perfect. Also, let me add that this perfectionist mindset wasted me so much time and money lol but maybe I'll get into that another time.

If you're reading this, I just want to re-remind you of how important mindset is. We've all heard it before, but making sure my mindset is in the right place is honestly how it got me this far (so far).

It wasn't until college that I realized that no one cares about what you do and that the whole concept of embarrassment is really what you make of it. My mentality shift of not caring about other people's judgment allowed so much more freedom for my creativity and actions. Of course, I'm still working on this but just remember that everyone is so busy focusing on themselves that even if they do judge you for something you're trying to accomplish, they'll forget about it in a millisecond because they have other things to do.

With this being said, there are a lot of things I want to hold myself accountable for but two specific things I want to mention here are consistency and perseverance. I want to stay consistent with everything I'm doing instead of having a toxic cycle of phases of doing and not doing. I want to persevere on things I'm truly passionate about no matter what obstacles are ahead of me. I'm too good at quitting and giving up, it's time to put an end to that.

Cheers to my very first blog post on my blog and leaving even more of a digital footprint on the World Wide Web that already has bajillions. Now time to finish building and designing this website because I've been putting that off for way too long 😅
